A West Yorkshire based main contractor who have an impressive track record of delivering prestigious projects across a range of sectors including Commercial, Residential and Retail up to £3m+.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;

* Prior experience within the construction industry working for a main contractor for a minimum of 3 years
* Knowledge of New build and refurbishment projects (ideally £100k - £3m)
* A good communicator, able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations.
* Well organised, self starter, able to implement procedures and effectively manage commercial aspects of the works.
* Commercial knowledge and ability to negotiate terms with a range of parties
* Ideally HNC / HND in construction or equivalent

The Role

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor you'll support the commercial team in establishing the clients requirements alongside performing risk, value and cost management on a verity of projects.


* Provide quantity surveying and project cost support activities.
* To provide assistance as required within the department, including supplier procurement, internal and external cost control and effectiveness and developing surveying processes to improve delivery of planned maintenance projects.
* Provide administration support and advice on contract terms, forms of contract and compliance.
* Developing strong client relationships to aid future business growth and partnership working.
* Develop and share innovative ideas and best practice with the Commercial and Operational Teams to support enhanced delivery performance.
