Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role it is imperative that you possess the following;

* High level of commercial awareness, understanding and ability to make profit
* Previous experience of successfully carrying out a surveying role on developments £3m+

The Role

As a highly experienced Project Surveyor, you will be working on various projects in the West Midlands across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, education and industrial. You will be responsible for dealing with the financial cost and reporting systems by preparing management reports to the board. You will manage and monitor claims issues, ranging from adjudication matters to claims avoidance techniques.

Duties

* Procurement
* Financial reporting
* Oversee all external works
* Cash flow and credit control monitoring
* Confirm project insurance arrangements
* Advice and support to Project Management
* Client and supply chain contract management
* Client and supply chain change control management
* Be aware of element costings and costs per square metre
* Dispute support activities to legal departments and external experts
* Client and supply chain management from procurement to final account
* Prepare proposals and act as the key presenter and lead work winning teams when required
* Prepare the tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities, with the architect and the client
* Develop initial project budget and agree detailed cost plan with the Senior Surveyor for agreement with the professional team
* Develop and maintain close relationships with customers, consultants and subcontractors to continuously improve the customer experience and support future repeat and negotiated business
