The Company

A well established, family run subcontractor; specializing in the design, production and installation of bespoke steel frame work on large construction projects. Working with a number of Tier 1 contractors and spanning a range of sectors from commercial and residential to health and education. They provide an innovative and turnkey service which is quick, economical and efficient.



The Project

As a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor in the Gloucestershire area, you will be working within the Commercial Team on a variety of construction projects Nationwide. Projects include student accommodation, schools, hospitals, leisure and commercial office space. You will provide support to the Senior Quantity Surveyor with detailed reports, cash flow monitoring and manage the budget of each development through to completion.You will be based from the Head Office and will be required to carry out regular site visits to projects nationwide.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS Card
* Minimum Qualification - HNC or higher in a relevant subject

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

* Minimum 3 Years' Experience in a similar role

Duties

* Procurement
* Superb negotiation capabilities
* Ability to multitask and prioritise projects
* Must be team-focused and results focused
* Strong communication, sales and presentation skills
* Participate in the settlement of main contract final accounts
* Monitor sub-contractor performance in consultation with senior staff
* Participate in the recording of delays & preparation of any request for extensions of time
* Generate/maintain relevant records, accurate filing and support for all commercial functions
* Provide tender analysis to relevant people for approval of proposed sub-contractor prior to placing of orders.
* Collate pre-qualification questionnaires for sub-contractors and liaise with Quality and Health & Safety to obtain approval
* Participate in the management of the supply chain and project costs of construction projects to ensure the overall financial success of a project
* Attend pre-start meetings and ensure that all relevant sub-contract paperwork and signed trade specifications are uploaded to DMS prior to start on site of the sub-contractor.
