The Company

A leading interiors Main Contractor operating across the North of England and Scotland with projects ranging from £100k to £3m. Their growing Projects Division are looking to recruit an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team with great opportunity for progression to senior levels over the coming years. This position offers working from home and flexibility to accommodate modern life.



Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role you must possess the following;



* Prior experience as a QS within the construction industry for a minimum of 3 years
* Knowledge of fit out and refurbishment projects (ideally £100k - £3m)
* Experience of working on frameworks with blue chip clients
* A good communicator, able to deal with a range of people, tasks and obligations.
* Well organised, self starter, able to implement procedures and effectively manage commercial aspects of the works.
* Commercial knowledge and ability to negotiate terms with a range of parties
* Ideally HNC / HND in construction or equivalent

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for supporting the commercial team in establishing client's requirements alongside performing risk, value and cost management on a verity of retail & commercial framework projects. In this role there will be the opportunity for progression along with the option for flexible working.

Duties

* Reporting to the Commercial Manager from the Northern office
* Provide quantity surveying and project cost support activities
* To provide assistance as required within the department, including supplier procurement, internal and external cost control and effectiveness and developing surveying processes to improve delivery of planned maintenance projects
* Provide administration support and advice on contract terms, forms of contract and compliance
* Developing strong client relationships to aid future business growth and partnership working
* Develop and share innovative ideas and best practice with the Commercial and Operational Teams to support enhanced delivery performance
