The Project
A major new build, private residential scheme based in East London. The overall build value exceeds £600m and will deliver 1200 new homes across various high rise accommodation blocks which will include amenities such as; gyms, a swimming pool, workspace and high-quality public areas
Requirements
For this role it is essential that you carry the following qualifications as a minimum;
* Have relevant industry qualifications minimum of HNC/HND/DEGREE
It is also essential that you hold the skills & experience below;
* This role has Pre-Construction elements including on site delivery on Major landmark developments, experience in both is highly desirable
* Extensive background, 10 years minimum with a proven track record of success on major projects with a proven Major Main Contractor or Subcontractor
* We are considering candidates at both Director or Senior Commercial Manager level, whilst this is not a Director position , this is a high profile role with an executive six figure package

* Reporting to: Commercial Director
Duties
* Able to delegate successfully
* Maintain and expand supply chain relationships
* Offer useful feedback to project teams and individuals
* The ability to encourage a team to achieve one common goal
* Internal reporting and monitoring of trade contractors on projects
* Confidence in presentation and the skill to lead high level meetings
* Maintain sustainable and productive relationships with existing clients
* To be able to interrogate the design to drive top value and efficiencies
* Must be able to remain composed and focused in complicated situations
* Develop accurate and consistent bids with the help of relevant departments
* Manage the team to ensure Project and Procurement proceeds competently
* Able to rapidly deal with conflict or issues that could affect the performance of the team
* Must be organised and prioritise own work to deliver on time through organization of time efficiently
* Support/guide pre-construction procurement in relationships with the projects senior leadership team
* Identify opportunities to expand the business, including through partnerships, mergers and new markets
* Increase and grow optimistic relationships with clients and client professional teams for all assigned projects
* Work with the sector Cost and Quality lead to expand and put into practice cost and quality control systems and trial at all stages of the project
* Plan resource requirements for assigned projects, managing and personally working with the project teams to recruit and select quality colleagues
* Manage daily operations, including employee training and development, contract negotiations and production planning
* Analyse sales, marketing, finance and other reports to gain insights into how to improve performance and maximise growth
* Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met and be ready to handle unexpected situations
* Champion health, safety and environment initiatives such as mental health awareness and men's health week
