The Project

As an experienced Senior Site Engineer, you will work on a number of projects within the Yorkshire Region. You will oversee the practical and technical engineering elements on new build and refurbishment schemes across various core sectors such as education with project values up to £50m+. You will play a key role in ensuring the timely delivery of all projects and will work closely with the senior management team.

Experience, Knowledge & Qualifications

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

* CSCS Card
* SMSTS

It is also essential that you hold the skills & experience below;

* Excellent time management skills
* Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
* Previous experience of working on similar value new build / refurbishment projects
* At least 5 years of experience in delivering large scale new build / refurbishment projects in a senior / site engineer position

Duties

* Surveying
* Setting Out
* Problem solving
* Adhere to current H&S regulations
* Create as built surveys and log data
* Attend and contribute in project related meetings
* Management of onsite labour including subcontractors
* Provide progress updates to The Senior Management Team
* Provide Technical Advice to Project Team members and Clients
* Ensuring quality and environmental standards are met and recorded accurately
* Operate, manage and have full responsibility for all setting out equipment / software - minimum expectations are EDM and Electronic Levelling equipment, enabling transfer/interpretation of CAD information
* Oversee engineering elements of the following; drainage, underground services, internal works as well as any temporary works
* Maintain contemporary records for the progressive and completed works, for measurements, reconciliation and record purposes
